Here is a rare view of Broad Street, facing West, dated 1917. The building on the left in the foreground is later known as Mitchell Drugs. Note the handwritten annotation that the building was then the "Post Office".
And this one is a view of Broad Street from the same basic angle - looking west. This one is from a postcard with a postmark date of 1947, dating it to that period.
Here is closeup of the picture above. There is a lot of detail visible here.
Here is another view of Broad Street - this time from about where the Post Office is - further east than the other east-facing photos. Tom Cullens has added: "The first house on the left, east of the City Hall, was the home of Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Brimberry. Her daughter is Charlotte Bryant, who resides in Camilla now. The Bank of Camilla is now on this site.

The first house on the right beyond the Baptist Church (east of the church), was the pastorium for the church, and at that time, Rev. Sam Bennett was the minister. The next house east of that was called Gray Oaks, and is where Johnny Yates, the former school principal, lived as a very young child."
